IP NETWORK CONSULTANT – CCIE

IP Network Consultant, educated to CCIE level, required for Senior Consultancy position with Dublin based Bluechip client

DUTIES:

• Operating in a Senior Consultancy capacity you will be responsible for the definition of Architecture encompassing strategic objectives, business benefits and capabilities to be delivered. This will transform into target architecture covering all Applications, Information and Systems in the domain.
• Responsible for Solution Architecture and acts as the most senior designer for any programmes impacting the domain, including defining the high-level solution architecture and the project governance to ensure it is achieved.
• Support to Customer business development requirements, including participation in Customer Meetings.
• Responsible for producing the underlying Network IP solutions for these opportunities, to establish their sourcing and costing, and to coordinate their implementation and operation.
• Work with Vendor teams to deliver technology solutions in line with funding, timescale and business expectations.
• Ensure the integrity of the initial design is maintained throughout such delivery. Approve any design changes that arise during delivery.

SKILLS / EXP:

• Degree or higher in a technical or business related discipline.
• At least 8 years experience in architecture and/or technology consulting.
• Should be CCIE certified, with experience in the field of IP enablement in a telecoms network.
• Experience in design and implementation of complex networks supporting technologies such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, load balancing, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience with multisite routing and peering from an architectural and business continuity perspective.
• Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships at all levels within the business
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Excellent background in IT standards and methodologies with experience of designing in a SOA environment.
• Knowledge of best practice in Architecture Principals, Solution Modeling, Service Design, System Integration.
• Excellent business skills, with an ability to analyse and model business scenarios and business processes.
• Competent in producing a business case and measuring business benefits.
