Internship within the Technology Development Innovation Centre

The SAP BusinessObjects innovation center delivers software prototypes based on concepts and ideas we've heard from our customers, partners, and internal teams. In this internship as Development Engineer in the innovation center in Dublin, you will explore and create new technologies that will push the state of the art in information processing.

We are happy to offer an internship of 6 months for a student on a Master degree (beginning July 2010) who is passionate about technology and motivated to deliver breakthrough solutions. You will help refine a concept or an innovative idea and translate it into a prototype and shipping software.

In the innovation center, you will practice an entire innovation cycle hands-on, starting from an idea, to brainstorming, to use cases validation and of course bringing a prototype to life. You will work on one of the ideas that we have in the pipe.

Tasks:
* Incubate new ideas
* Define, design & develop proof of concepts to demonstrate new concepts, translate ambiguous ideas into compelling features
* Participate in all phases of development, including: prototyping, designing, coding, testing and rollout
* Deliver the appropriate architectural and technical documentation required to handover prototype to the main engineering divisions
* Express new ideas and present them
* Communicate proactively, precisely & accurately
* Interact with colleagues in an international environment
* Technologies may include: Java, C++, Eclipse, Flex

Requirements:
* Student presently studying in computer science or engineering or equivalent
* Top achiever in previous years
* Fluent in English
