Intermediate Project Manager

We are currently seeking to recruit an Intermediate Project Manager to join the Information Services department of a leading employer to play a key role in the management and delivery fo complex IT projects.

This is a temporary assignment, expected to last 6-8 months.

This position has the responsibility for the management and delivery of critical and complex IT projects whilst ensuring adherence to specification, budget and delivery schedule.
* Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
* Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
* Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
* Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to the customer.
* Effectively applies PMO methodology and enforces project standards.
* Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
* Minimizes company exposure and risk on project.
* Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
* Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
* Manages project budget.
* Analyzes project success or profitability, on time, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.

The individual must be able to successfully function in an environment where high quality and efficiency are expected.

The Project Manager would report directly to the on-site Senior IT Supervisor.

A degree in an IT or Business related discipline with 3 years job related experience

OR

An HND/HNC or equivalent qualification with 5 years job related experience

Job related experience must include experience and knowledge of project management to include processes and procedures

Desirable

Prince2 Practitioner or PMI certification
