Infrastructure Architect – Contract

Rates: 300 / day or 60K pro rata

Our Client has an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Architect for an initial 3 month contract. You will be responsible for providing innovative technical solutions to business issues and assist in enhancing the stability, efficiency and integrity of the technology utilized within the company.

You will work with the technical teams, senior technicians and management to plan and design new and improved technology solutions for the business

Requirements:
• A recognised technical qualification (preferably in Information Technology) plus at least 5 years relevant experience
• Experience of working in an enterprise computing environment.
• Business writing and the ability to create business justifications which will involve financial analysis
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers
• Windows 2000/2003 server including Active Directory
• Wide Area Networking/switching technologies
• Storage Area Network (SAN)
• Blade server technology
• VMWare ESX 2.5, 3.0
• Citrix Presentation Manager Implementation and configuration experience.
• MSProject, MSOffice suite and MSVisio

Desirable:
• Linux/Unix
• Checkpoint administration and configuring VPN’s.
• Cisco switches and PIX firewalls (CCNA level)
• Lotus Notes
• Knowledge of routing protocols e.g. OSPF
• Experience of using firewalls, implementing rules & troubleshooting networking issues.
• VmWare ESX.
• IBM Tivoli Storage Manager
