Our Client currently requires an IT professional to undertake responsibility for supporting security solutions for the organisation. This position will involve collaboration with members of the Systems Administration, Database Administration, IT Development and Application Support teams, the Security Administrator will implement and maintain solutions that monitor and secure internal and external systems and infrastructure. This includes the on-going maintenance and management of hardware and software that secures the organisations' systems, analysing and troubleshooting issues, and monitoring for potential security incidents.

Overview of the responsibilities of the Information Security Systems Administrator:
Efficiently plan, design and develop technical solutions to meet business requirements in conjunction with client standards and best practices.
Research and evaluate existing and upcoming technologies.
Effectively co-ordinate with other development groups and manage day to day activities.
Promote superb Quality Control processes and Quality Assurance in the entire department.
Provide top notch technical training to the other team members.
Actively participate in PoCs (proof of concept) and assist the department in their selection of Vendor Solutions, Technologies, Methodologies and frameworks.
Perform system maintenance, production incident problem management, identification of root cause, remediation of the problems and on-call pager support schedule.
Candidate Profile
Background
Third Level Qualification in Business or IT related discipline
Experienced business analyst skilled in stakeholder management with experience in a cash management or banking environment.
Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
Strong understanding of Windows and Unix environments with at least 2 years of system administration
Working knowledge of MS Active Directory and Imprivata
Sound knowledge of security techniques and defenses against viruses and other attacks
Sound conceptual knowledge of file systems, databases, virtualization, and identity management
Working knowledge of monitoring protocols such as Syslog and SNMP
Good understanding and knowledge of network communications (TCP/IP, ICMP, Telnet, etc…)
Good understanding of web technologies (IIS/Apache, HTTP/S, Java, etc…)
Familiarity with software installation techniques and troubleshooting, including package management with MSI and RPM
Familiarity with encryption protocols such as SSH, SSL
Basic ability to program scripts and batch files (VB Script, Shell, Perl, etc…)
Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and MS Project
