Are you a Technical Architect or CTO with a passion for driving technology and leading small teams?

My client is a very exciting start-up company based close to Dublin city centre, their team consists of 4 in-house Developers who have skills in Java, PHP, Node.JS, iOS and Android. This opening is for a passionate technology driver with experience as an Architect/CTO who will be responsible for planning and designing the company’s technical roadmap.

Your responsibilities as a CTO/Architect will include the development and reporting of pipeline progress, as well as driving the architecture. You’ll take a step back and decide on the direction of the architecture and introduce new technologies and new innovative thinking to the group. This role is a leading position where you will take ownership of the project and make key analytical decisions regarding the direction of the project.

Ideal Qualities/Experience:

* 5 or more years development experience in any language – eg. Java, PHP, Node.JS, JavaScript, C , Android, Objective-C, Ruby, Python
* You will have a strong passion for software development and engineering
* Your passion lies in the frontend – skills in design and UX would be greatly appreciated
* Previous start-up experience would be a big plus
* Knowledge of highly scalable storage solutions would be a plus
* Interest in, or knowledge of open graph
* Previous architecture or CTO experience

This role might suit someone with a strong development background who wants to dip their toe into app development – initially this role will be offered on a part-time basis with fully flexible working hours on-site. After a period of 4 months, this will be reviewed and a full-time engagement will be offered to the right person.
