Immediate Start DBA – SQL/ Oracle

As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for the design, build and operational support of the firm’s SQL and Oracle databases.
* Provide technical leadership for DBA function including identification and nomination of initiatives to enhance the database environment.
* Support and maintain the firm’s SQL and Oracle databases including installation, patching, daily checks, backups and restores.
* Ensure compliance with Global technology and security standards.
* Responsible for day to day management, coaching and development of team member including performance appraisal tasks.
* Take a lead role in ensuring the operational efficiency and project delivery of the DBA team.
* in an IT related discipline or alternatively, a general primary degree followed by a post graduate IT qualification.
* Formal SQL and/or Oracle accreditations highly desirable.
* 5 years IT experience.
* Minimum 3 years SQL DBA experience – SQL 2000, 2005 and 2008.
* Minimum 1 year Oracle DBA experience – 9i, 10g and 11g along with experience working as senior / lead DBA with supervisory responsibilities.
* Net development experience highly desirable though not essential.
