9 Month Contract – €25k Pro Rata – City Centre
We are currently recruiting a Helpdesk Support Engineer. This position involves logging IT support issues/queries from users and providing technical assistance in the resolution of hardware and software issues by utilising approved centralised tools, processes and procedures.
The ideal candidate should have:
• Relevant IT qualification
• 9 to 18 months post qualification experience in a similar role
• Experience in the support of Windows operating systems and basic networking
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Commitment to learning about a range of applications
• Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels
• Strong organisation skills with ability to prioritise
• Initiative and enthusiasm with a "can-do" attitude
Key responsibilities:
• Answering incoming IT calls and monitor logged calls
• Log calls accurately and document incident information
• Provide proper problem escalation and follow up to provide exceptional end user service and ensure user satisfaction
• Responsible for PC and IT equipment setup
• Local Area network and PC maintenance
• Involvement in various IT projects
• Support of Phone system
