Introduction:

Role Description:
Our client is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to oversee all Project streams and support the PM office with overall Windows 10+ Project Governance (outside of our client role sometimes also referred to as "Head of PMO"), reporting to our client's internal Windows 10+ project manager.

Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to run the day-to-day delivery of the project, working closely with all project workstreams with a strong focus on risks and issues and taking operational decisions needed to move forward. This position reports directly to the Windows10+ Project Manager and will have an Intern reporting to them.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
– Manage definition and setup of Project together with the Project Manager and stream leads.
– Project delivery: ensure proper tracking and management of project delivery on approved schedule and budget.
– Reporting progresses to the Windows 10+ Project Manager on a regular basis.
– Manage Project's documentation as required by quality standards.
– Manage vendors/partners as needed to ensure project delivery.
– Manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) by carefully assessing potential impacts in collaboration with the respective project streams and proposing/capturing appropriate mitigation actions, or ensuring timely escalation to the Project Manager.
– Identify, manage and integrate with any dependent project or activity.
– Track completion of project deliverables, tasks, activities and milestones, as well as accuracy of approved budget.
– Provide accurate, timely and fit for purpose project status reports using established norms and reporting tools of the portfolio.
– Ensure that the project follows our client's Project Management Methodology, meeting the required project and quality deliverables milestones.
– Ensure Project's compliance to project management, portfolio management and CSV policies, guidelines, process tools and reporting standards of the portfolio.

Must Haves:
– 7+ years of relevant experience in a multinational company as an IT Project Manager using structured project management processes.
– Project Management certification (PMP or similar)
– Strong leadership skills and proven track record of decision taking and escalations handling.
– Structured approach, problem-solving, flexible and self-directed with analytical skills.
– CSV background and experience in working with IT Quality.
– Working language is English, so excellent English language skills are required.
– High proficiency in working virtually is a must.
– Please note: The candidate could have also worked already as a Head of PMO, directly reporting to the Program Manager.

Nice to Haves:
– Former pharma experience (ideally having worked together with one or more business functions and IT in the past)
– Experience in multi-site deployment project
– Experience in leading different streams
– German, Spanish and other languages (if any)

Remote work option:
– There is a remote work option upto 20% but prior approval is required.

Travel required:
– Some travel (Madrid, possibly San Francisco – up to 5%) will be required.
