One of Irelands most prestigious organisations is seeking a Group Head of IT to be responsible for the delivery of the IT Strategy and control input into the formulation of the ICT Strategy across the companies various global sites.

As the Group Head of IT you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the Global ICT services tot he business, delivering a high level of internal customer service and managing external partners and vendors while being responsible for the efficient delivery of ICT projects.  The role can be based in Belfast, Dublin or London but will require a lot time to spent in Ireland as well as travel to Global sites when required.

Duties in Detail
* Ownership and delivery of the Global ICT Strategy
* Participate in the formulation of the ICT strategy, ICT is one of our main business plan drivers
* Programme Management of all ICT initiatives including management of cross project interdependencies, risks and issues
* Manage ongoing delivery of the ICT Service to the business within defined SLA’s, with a strong focus on high service levels, meeting and improving internal customer service levels
* Management of Project and ICT Service delivery resources
* Managing key business partners, achieving buy-in and resource and leading those partners through the change programme. Ensure that all ICT vendors and partners add value to the business and are tasked with achieving continuous improvement in their service offerings
* Preparation of business cases to support individual components of strategic change, presentation and sign off at Board Level of Business Case work
* Manage Project Plans, deliverables, milestones, costs and management of project by project risk
* Post Implementation Reviews to ensure benefit realization
* Manage ICT risk register and disaster recovery plan
* Manage the ICT operating expense and capital expenditure budgets.
* Formulate custom reporting requirements and manage implementation
* Act as a key advisor to the Group Advisory Board on all issues relating to the effective utilization of IT

 Skills Required
* Good influencer who can articulate and communicate vision at all levels
* Come from a strong E-Commerce background dealing with high volume web traffic.
* Extensive Programme Management experience in the delivery of complex, cross functional programmes on an international level
* Experience of managing external vendors and of working in an outsourced IT environment
* Technically strong in IT particularly in a business context with the ability to identify and provide practical solutions.  Web based platforms would be key area of experience
* Man Manager with both an analytical approach and a real insight into the needs of customers, both internal and external
* Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills i.e. Excel, Powerpoint, Project etc
