My client is looking for a support analyst whose primary responsibility will be to support their FIX order execution system. This is a great opportunity to gain broader experience on the full system rather than just a piece of it, and to become recognised and valued as an expert.
The Financial Information eXchange (FIX) Protocol is a series of messaging specifications for the electronic communication of trade-related messages.

Key Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for support and certification of the FIX order execution system. This system routes orders from clients to various exchanges, MTF’s, broker and between various internal systems.
Client run through the various FIX testing specs
Day to Day support of a high paced trading platform.
Monitor for trade problems and initiate follow-up actions.
Test and implement new software releases and configurations from both internal and external developers.
Perform various configuration changes, configure new customers off site throughout Europe, adjust symbol databases etc.
Liaise regularly with the client on boarding team and overseas teams to ensure awareness of system issues and enhancements
Composition of, and enhancement to, all relevant documentation.
Participate in other recurring and ad-hoc technical projects requiring a professional approach to project management.

Key skills:
FIX experience essential.
3rd level qualification in IT.
Strong working knowledge of Unix and SQL.
Scripting knowledge an advantage.
Good working knowledge of MS Office.
High level of software knowledge.
Proven ability to work off own initiative and manage projects.
Quality mind-set and striving to resolve issues,
Client focused.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
