Role Accountabilities:
- Participate in varied data and analytics projects, from deep dive analysis and reporting to full model build, implementation and maintenance.
- Apply machine learning and simulation techniques to provide insight for clients; e.g. Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Neural Networks, etc.
- Develop efficient and flexible code.
- Validate and test analytics models in line with existing frameworks.
- Partake in and shape analytics R&D work.
- Design and implement required reports and dashboard.
- Maintain the design and build of ETL and data cleansing processes in line with existing frameworks.
- Participate in and shape business analysis activities to gather required reporting, dashboard, analysis and or/analytics requirements.
- Develop project plans, estimations and proposals.
- Lead sections of a project; including team management, schedule management and providing status updates to the client etc.
- Team management, mentoring and career development coaching.
- Undertake business development activities and meet directly with clients.
- Own project related documentation.
Person Specification:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, scrutinise, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple conflicting requirements.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with knowledge of project management processes.
- Knowledge of ETL and Data Warehouse ideologies and methodologies.
- Experience with one or more of the following analytical tools; R, Python, SAS base, SPSS (Modeller).
- Experience with one or more of the following BI or graphical visualisation tools; Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview.
Required:
- Minimum 2.1 degree in Analytics, Data Mining, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years’ previous development experience in BI/Analytics/Project environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel with a proficiency in: Advanced formulas, tables and formatting, conditional formatting, advanced charting, pivot tables and charts, Visual Basic and Macros.
- Excellent consultative, communication, presentation and management skills.
- Entitlement to work in Ireland and the UK without sponsorship.
