Desktop Support Engineer required for work onsite in a multinational based in Shannon, Co. Clare. This is an initial 3 month contract with strong likelihood on extension thereafter.
As this role is a “hands on” technical role dealing directly with the business users so fluent English and strong communication skills are requirement
Required Skills:
• 2+ years relevant experience in a Desktop Support role
• Fluent English Speaker
• Must possess excellent problem analysis & troubleshooting skills
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
• IT Certification i.e. MCSE, MCP, etc.
Hands on experience in some of the following:
• Microsoft Server 2003/2008
• Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems and Applications
• LAN/VPN/Virtualisation Configuration & Security
• Windows Desktop support
• Security/VPN/Firewall
• Anti Virus software
• Routers, Firewalls, Switches etc.
