Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deploy software solutions for our customers e.g. OpenStack computing cloud solutions
- Responsible for customer deployments (either on site or remotely). This includes per project customer deployments, patches installation, emergency out of working hours support, HW/SW installation and configuration, product training.
- Work with back-end teams to resolve issues and improve our processes.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to the customers during deployment projects.
- Integrate and implement supporting technologies such as open source monitoring tools.
- Execute orderly handoff to support teams at end of projects.
Job Requirements :
Requirements:
- Proficiency in modern scripting languages, Python, Shell, Perl, or similar languages
- Linux/ Unix System Administration with a strong understanding around administration and troubleshooting
- Onsite customer deployment experience including execution and management of customer acceptance testing
- Ability and drive to document the current state of environments, perform gap analysis, come up with options and recommendations
- Flexibility – traveling abroad and willingness to travel to global customer locations
- Excellent communication skills in English and professional manner
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Ability to quickly triage problems under pressure
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Shows Initiative, self-management
Desirable:
- Experience working with open source applications and tools
- Familiarity with configuration management, e.g. Jenkins, Chef, Puppet or similar industry-standard CM solutions
- Experience with automation tools
- Understanding of Networking, DNS, and how the internet works in general
- Understanding of backup solutions
- Experience in monitoring systems and alerting
- Familiarity with build and release automation, and dependency management
- Data management skills
- Knowledge of messaging telecommunication protocols
