DBA /.NET Developer
Status: 6 month fixed term contract

Our Client (exclusive to Allen Recruitment) is looking for a DBA / T-SQL programmer . This is an initial 6 month fixed term contract with a possible view to extension thereafter.
This role will suit a seasoned DBA/T-SQL Developer looking for a challenging and varied role. The successful candidate must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and have a structured approach to all development tasks. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Service/Product Service team. The candidate must be able to ‘hit-the-ground-running’ and have a solid understanding of the SQL Server 2000/2005.
The successful candidate will have obtained the following:
§ A solid track record in IT software solution delivery
§ 5 years T-SQL programming- mandatory
§ 1 years DBA – highly regarded
§ SQL Server – TSQL Stored Procedures, solid understanding of joins, normalisation, reporting, transactional systems, working with temporary table, recursive queries – mandatory
§ Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or substantial relevant IT and Software Development experience.
Nice to have skills are:
§ Database Clustering
§ Replication
§ Partitioning
§ Mirroring & data warehousing
§ Understanding of other programming language like ASP.NET, Visual Basic .NET, JavaScript
