Database Developer

€40000 per annum

My client, a leading IT developer and consultancy is looking for an experienced Database Developer to join their team in Limerick. Ideally, they would like a Backend Software Developer/Database Engineer with strong SQL Server (T-SQL) or Oracle (PL/SQL), .Net or Java with experience in product development.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Coding, analysing and troubleshooting PL/SQL and T-SQL
-High-volume and critical production service environments
-Database administration, including the ability to analyse performance and application issues using standard tools
-Analysing, designing and building complex database transaction and reporting solutions
-Travel when necessary to France and UK

Requirements:

-BA/BSc in CS or equivalent experience
-Expertise in developing database applications in Oracle and SQL Server
-Experience in web-based applications, as well as data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
-Solid experience in two or more of Java, .NET C, C , Shell, PHP, Perl or Python
-Experience in Product Development, Version Control etc.
-Strong analytical abilities and a sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
-Experience leading short projects involving outside teams is a plus
-Intermediate level or fluent French is desirable
