The Role: Data Mining Analyst – SQL/Dynamics

The Opportunity

An exciting new position has now opened in our reporting team within our Dublin office. The role is primarily to provide data mining support and execution to support operational analysts in various regions. Secondary requirements are the analysis, interpretation and presentation of this information using global best practice. This is a demanding role in a fast paced and dynamic business. The ideal candidate will be able to control multiple deadlines, be a self-starter and works under minimum supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities

•Data mining from in-house technologies and systems on a daily basis to provide information to Analysts across all business areas
•Collect, organize and analyze data and information for global programs
•Communicate business results in the applicable format
•Conducts research and analysis to support workforce planning decision-making in areas such as forecasting and workforce analytics using traditional and advanced methods.
•Support development of market, business and financial modeling for forecasting purposes
•Incorporate existing reports and data mining techniques from other regions
•Accurately record, validate and update Global reports
•Retrieve data using SQL and develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services
•Generate SQL queries, formulate reports and distribute information
•Highlight any process issues to manager so that issues may be addressed and appropriate action taken
•Develop statistical models using large scale historic data sets
•Work closely with each business area and the Global Transformation Team to automate and improve reporting processes within the business
•Work closely with analysts from all regions to ensure that best practices are shared across the business globally

Skills & Experience

•BA in business or related field preferred – advanced degree a plus
•Microsoft Office Specialist, Certified Application Specialist or MOS Master qualification preferred
•Ability to demonstrate SQL skill’s especially in writing and modifying data queries
•Microsoft Technology Specialist / IT Professional certification in SQL is a plus
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics a distinct advantage
•Strong Business Analysis Background (2 years)
•SQL 2008 Query development
•Advanced Excel Modeling using Visual Basic for Applications
•Exposure to workforce management technologies (such as Aspect, Impact 360, Avaya)
•BPO / Contact Centre KPI reporting
