Data Centre – Engineer Dublin

<B><U> Data Centre – Engineer – Dublin 22 – Contract </B></u>

Our client a technology consultancy company with key service offerings in the areas of Client Solutions, Hardware and Software Services and IT-Infrastructure Services. They are currently seeking a date centre engineer to join their team busy team on an ongoing contract basis.

<b> Job Duties:</b>
* Ticket queue management
* Troubleshooting support for servers, infrastructure and network devices
* Diagnose and repair server errors, infrastructure issues and network connectivity problems
* Network cable installation and removal to support infrastructure needs
* Server Operating System and application imaging/installation/upgrades
* Server Operating System IPAK’s, Hotfixes and Security Patches
* Management, training and mentoring of technicians following best practices, policies and procedures
* Tier one escalation to management, facilities and emergency response teams in case of emergency
* Quality control for all processes during shift

<B> Candidate Requirements: </B>
* 3-5 years previous experience within data centres or equivalent experience
* AA degree or equivalent experience
* 2 years supervisory experience over 5 or more persons
* Server , Network , HP APS and MCP towards 2003 MCSE required certifications
* Strong organization, delegation and prioritization experience
* Strong communicational skills which include written, verbal, and interpersonal
* Flexible to support shift coverage within a 24x7x365 environment
* Experience managing and mentoring teams of 3-6 individuals
* Basic understanding of statement of work contractual agreements
* Experience troubleshooting large LAN and WAN network
* Strong understanding of the OSI model
* Advanced experience in supporting RAID & SCSI technologies
* Advanced experience troubleshooting Proliant servers along with server components such as motherboards, controller boards, network cards, processors and memory
* 3 years previous experience supporting, administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server 2003

* Excellent Base Salary €32,500 – €35,000
