Data Architect – South East

Permanent or contract considered.

Working on Enterprise Data solutions within a Microsoft technology environment with .NET applications based on SQL server database technology. Liaising with application & technical architects, Software development and key business stakeholders with a particular focus on enterprise data architecture.

Key aspects of the role:

* Work with the business and senior project stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide effective solutions
* Data policy definition
* Development of guidelines and standards for data collection, ETL, data management and adherence to data policy
* Data model definition and implementation. Creating & analysing data models.
* Data governance and advising on data policies conformance
* Defining a baseline data quality standard for key datasets and setting out the roadmap to ensure that baseline is achieved
* Assessment of current data infrastructure and management & proposed future direction

Essential Experience

* Qualification in Computer Science or Business IT or similar
* 5 years experience in data quality assessment and data management, ideally within a corporate or public sector environment
* Ability to gather enterprise level requirements for data and data architecture
* Experience with data architecture principles and guidelines
* Extensive data modelling and design experience
* Technical skills with a specialisation in Data and database technologies – SQL, databases, data security, data dissemination & search
* Ideally Agile Delivery methodology experience
* Experience of data modelling software and standards
* Data Governance
* Excellent Communication skills with ability to interface with both technical & business experts

Any experience working with Microsoft technology environments (SQL server, .NET, web services, etc is advantageous). Data Analytics.
