Customer Implementation Project Manager

My client, a leading telecoms service provider, now has a permanent vacancy for a Project Manager, based in West Cork.

[b]Role Description[/b]

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key customer rollouts, the implementation of new business processes and services & providing guidance and advice to key customer decision makers and account managers for national, European and Global customer rollouts. The Customer Implementation Manager will be the customer facing representative for key customers in terms of on-boarding & implementation of services.

[b]Key Responsibilities[/b]

· Represents company in acting as the liaison with the customer in discussions related to the implementation process as appropriate.

· Conducts face-to-face meetings with the customer as required.

· Provides an advisory role to the customer in terms of suggesting the simplest & most effective solution to meet their requirements.

· Ensures that deadlines are met in implementing services for customer.

· Focuses on ramp up for new customer on-boarding.

· Acts as primary POC for both external & internal stakeholders throughout rollout period.

· Interacts across all functions to coordinate large project roll-outs and new business initiatives, as required.

· Develops and implements work plans, establishes timetable for completing various project requirements and coordinates resources to ensure project policies and procedures comply with project success criteria.

· Creates templates for implementation projects including, but not limited to, project plan/meeting notes/status updates/customer facing documentation.

· Prepares various administrative reports and updates as required by the projects in a timely manner.

· Gives direction, facilitates and reviews project deliverables for standards, consistency & quality.

· Supports a productive team environment within the project and effectively motivating the project team members.

· Plans, coordinates, and facilitates various project-related meetings, workshops and seminars relaying information and providing assistance to those serviced by the projects.

· Works with Senior Management to develop and implement continuous process improvements for client and internal operations.

· Provides regular status updates/flags risks to senior management team & other stakeholders as required.

· Ensures a smooth handover to internal departments once rollout has been completed – educating/training/introducing new point of contacts/etc.

· Performs ad hoc analysis for ‘go /no go’ decisions on projects/new initiatives.

· Performs other job-related duties as required.

[b]Candidate Profile[/b]

· Degree Level or equivalent in a Business or related discipline.

· Ideally formally (or actively working towards being) qualified within the project management field (I.e. Prince2 Foundation/ Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma, PMP) with a minimum of 3 years experience in a mid level Project Management or functional management role.

· Ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet challenging and tight deadlines is essential.

· Strongly customer focused

· Ability to interact effectively and with confidence with Senior Management.

· Self-starter. Must be able to work proactively, independently and with little direction.

· Strong team player – promotes teamwork and provides support at all levels.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.

· Ability to succinctly define problems and create solutions effectively and efficiently.

· Excellent organizational, decision-making, problem solving and negotiation skills.

· Excellent Time-Management skills.

· Ability to produce high quality and timely deliverables within time constraints.

· Ability to work under pressure and deal positively with difficult situations is essential.

· Flexible and Adaptable.

· Accountable and Trustworthy.

· Attentive to detail/Accuracy of work.

· Analytical and Numerical.

· Discreet – understands the importance of confidentiality in the job.

· Computer Literate – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Internet and Email. Microsoft Access desirable but not essential.

· Fluency in a second European language (preferably French or German) is desirable but not essential.

· Ability to travel as required for business purposes.
