Contract Application Support – UNIX
Top Daily Rates Negotiable
Leading player in the e-commerce space is looking to recruit a Unix Application Support Engineer for a 6 month contract position.
[b]The Role:[/b]
Support and maintain my client's applications to the agreed SLA’s for their online Business.
Work to identify and resolve issues in a proactive and professional manner taking ownership and seeing through to resolution.
[b]Responsibilities:[/b]
• Support the broad ranging online Applications and services
• Taking ownership of issues through to resolution
• Liaising with external providers
• Adherence to predefined SLA’s
• Building and maintaining the Online Application Knowledge Base and ensuring documentation,
• manuals and procedures are kept current
• Testing releases, updates and enhancements to existing business information applications
• Communication of releases , updates and enhancements to Online applications
[b]Skills and Experience Required:[/b]
• A minimum of 2.1 in a Computer Science related degree
• Min 2 yrs UNIX experience in a dynamic, fast paced organization
• Experience in supporting 24 x 7 applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate an ability to take ownership and manage issues in a professional manner through to resolution
