Cisco Network Engineer – Limerick

Our Client has and urgent requirement for a Cisco Network Engineer to work on site for a leading financial multinational based in Shannon. This is an initial 12 – 18 month contract with negotiable daily rate or PAYE salary options available

The role of the Cisco Network Engineer is to support the existing environment, perform installations, and troubleshoot network issues.

Requirements:
• CCNA / CCNP qualification with 3+ years in a similar support role
• In-depth experience in corporate LAN/WAN technologies
• May be required to be part of Network on-call team and provide technical support outside of core business hours
• Experience across some of the following:
 LAN & WAN protocols (BGP, RIP & EIGRP)
 Range of Cisco technologies
 Gateway firewalls (primarily Checkpoint & CISCO )
 Ethernet, MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay & VPN.
 Application Level Load-Balancing and WAAS
 Security Appliances (IPS, IDS)
 Wireless LAN, Wireless IPS
 Voice and Video over IP
 Experience with network management tools
