SENIOR SOFTWARE RELEASE MANAGER
5 years Release Management experience from a Software Development background, ideally from Insurance / Financial Services, with knowledge of XML, SQL server. Perm role based Cavan.
Sigmar are working exclusively on a number of key roles with a large multi-national client. One of the key vacancies we are actively hiring for is a Senior Software Release Manager.
The role will for a pivotal part of the new Team with a focus on developing and executing procedures to successfully and accurately merge code branches into a software release, documenting the software items merged and the deployment of the code to the appropriate environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist developers, analysts, and designers in understanding the proper procedures and processes for accurately branching software source code
• Develop procedures for accurately creating software builds by merging the appropriate code into a release
• Develop processes for the successful rollback of a release
• Performing daily merges of source code and deploying releases to appropriate environments.
• Communicating the details of a release to other departments
• Conduct research on emerging application development software products
Skills and Experience
• 5 years software development / release management experience
• Expert knowledge of best practices in software branching and merging techniques.
• Knowledge of XML, Microsoft SQL server a plus
• Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
