Our client is a market leading technology solutions provider within the International Logistics and Transport sector, creating innovative information management tools and communication products, to provide real-time mobile resource management capabilities), and implemented transport-phase supply chain management, from start to end, globally.

Due to continued growth in 2011, they now have a requirement for a C++ Developer to work within their Web Applications Development team in Dublin.

The successful candidate will be part of a small but highly efficient core team of developers which delivers solutions to their European, US and Chinese operations.

[b]Primary Role:[/b]
Successful candidate must have experience developing and maintaining large scale real time, transaction based (20 million+ daily) enterprise applications that are highly utilised 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The primary role will be in the development and maintenance of the middle tier suite of applications written in Microsoft C++.

The C++ Developer will work alongside the CTO and will be the key "go to guy" for middleware applications development

[b]Secondary Role:[/b]
The C++ Developer will also be required to work closely with the companies website development group. This secondary role will involve getting familiar with website development carried out in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment.

[b]Key Requirements:[/b]

* BSc in Computer Science or similar
* Excellent C++ programming skills
* Excellent MySQL knowledge
* Knowledge of the Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC)
* Experience in PHP is desirable (Although NOT essential)
* Complex software and systems analysis and debugging
* Experience in telecommunication software development would be advantageous
* Self-directed, motivated and driven performer
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
* Work well in both a team environment and independently
* Naturally inquisitive with self-sufficient research skills; excellent attention to detail
