Business Systems Analyst

My Client is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to provide customer requirements analysis for thier range of FX, CFD and spread bet trading software in terms of both implementation and writing functional specifications for development. The role encompasses elements of business analysis in producing software specifications and associated documentation from customer requirements and of project lead in managing and supporting the Development Team to deliver to those requirements. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess, understand and capture the business requirements of new, existing and/or internal customers. Work with Development, QA and Support teams to facilitate a clearer understanding of the specific needs and wants of our customer base as well as the business domain in general. Visit client sites to gather pre-sales requirements and to support specific project implementations. Work with the development team to create detailed specifications of customer business requirements. Work with the QA team to resolve testing issues. Champion new product initiatives of strategic importance to Ariel throughout the organisation. To work without supervision, either on their own, or as part of a team. Ensure all codes of practice, systems of work and processes are adhered to. GENERAL: These duties and responsibilities may be changed in accordance with the needs of the company. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Extensive experience of functional rather than technical knowledge of the finance domain. Previous experience in a similar role with an FX, CFD and/or spread bet brokerage or software provider. Strong working knowledge of writing functional specifications and user documentation. Cross systems knowledge of front office, risk, accounting and Back Office work flows. A sound understanding of Information Technology systems. Good analytical skills (Preferable engineering background). High level design capabilities using Object Oriented techniques would be beneficial. Very good interpersonal skills.
