Senior Business Analyst / Business Solutions Architect

Curach Consulting is a leading Irish Business and Technology Consultancy. We work with a wide range of clients across various industry sectors to deliver business and technology change.

We currently have an urgent requirement for a Senior Business Analyst / Business Solutions Architect for a contract role with one of our financial services clients. This role will be based onsite at our client’s Dublin city centre premises.

Objectives

•Ensure the designed solution meets the business vision and requirements, and is aligned to the Business Capability Model
•Ensure consistency, flexibility, reusability and minimum complexity across systems and processes
•Work with Project teams / delivery Solution Architects to guide the design and development of functional changes as required
•Innovation – bringing new ideas and long term views to support business strategies
•Become the central repository of knowledge for the end to end system functionality
•Review and validate the benefits realisation plan and identify areas of improvement

Responsibilities

•Gain an understanding of a system, its components and processes, and the interfaces and dependencies between the various system components including legacy systems
•Work with the Business to assist them in choosing feasible solutions to match their requirements
•Work with the Business Consultants to provide innovative ideas to achieve the business objectives as outlined by Portfolio Board
•Provide mapping for business requirements to system components
•Develop High Level design documentation for approved concepts
•High Level estimation to assist in the feasibility / selection phase of a project
•Work with the Enterprise Architect to identify package capabilities and appropriate solutions where gaps occur in the capabilities
•Review walkthrough / summary of Detailed Design to ensure specifications reflect the agreed high level design
•Ensure the solutions are in line with the enterprise architecture
•Carry out impact assessments and estimation as part of the CR process’
•Design Authority issue management
•Work with the team to develop and refine repeatable processes, guidelines and standards
•Reporting – providing timely reports on status and findings to assist the Portfolio Board with its decision making
•Issue escalation to the Business Relationship Manager

Business Experience

•Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years experience as a Business Analyst in a solutions environment, ideally in financial services/insurance industry.
•Proven experience in driving for results, continually focusing on achieving positive, concrete outcomes.

•Ability to effectively estimate the effort required to plan, architect and deliver technical solutions and to correctly set customer expectations
•Self-starter, makes decisions independently, and escalates appropriately.
•Excellent documentation skills.
•Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to non technical audiences.

This is a 12 month contract role commencing in January.
