Business Analyst – Treasury

realTime is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a background in Treasury for a long term day rate contract. You will have in-depth Business Analysis with a focus on foreign currency (FX) and business process design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities: * Perform a key liaison role between Functional and IT stakeholders within Treasury to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. * Translate Business requests into detailed functional specifications and use cases. * Coordinate functional data owners, stakeholders, and subject matter experts, as needed, ensuring functional buy-in and appropriate sign-off on required deliverables * Demonstrate good level of technical and business acumen when evaluating solutions to business challenges. * Conduct testing of completed work prior to user acceptance testing phase.
* Use project management methodology to monitor timelines, prioritize and execute assigned portfolio of projects. Ensure that project metrics and tasks are maintained accurately in project reporting tools. * Adhere to the requirements and guidelines of the Treasury System Development Life Cycle in designing and implementing solutions.
* Lead in discussions with development and business teams regarding implementation and design of business processes. Provide recommendations to strengthen processes – engaging with relevant internal stakeholders and vendors. * Coordinate with teams of offshore consultants in development and support projects.
* Ensure compliance to documented Treasury IT standards.
* Provide support to business teams during data quality analysis.
* Provide ad hoc support and advocacy to business subject specialists. * Application support with a heavy emphasis on problem identification, diagnosis and resolution. Provide escalation support on key Treasury systems used within the Company (both infrastructure and application)
* Provide timely status, progress and results reporting to project teams and senior management. * Identify major areas of improvement and drive results. Qualifications/Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
* 5 years previous experience in Information Technology * Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organizational and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels
* Strong business acumen & successful track record in aligning with Customers. Strong interpersonal & communication skills, can-do-attitude / self-starter.
* Prior experience in demonstrating successful cross-functional engagement and consensus building. * Application Development programming background * Prior work experience in supporting or leading the design/build/test/deployment of a process or sub-process related to treasury management and operations * Prior work experience in a Treasury function preferred. 2 years experience related to FX derivative instruments, including understanding of use in risk management, related market data framework and sources, trading and settlement processes, leading practices and associated system based solutions * Ability to convey complex or technical information to project partners and stakeholders with limited subject matter expertise * Experience in a matrix and global environment preferred * Prior experience with treasury management systems/applications
