Business Analyst (Salary range 35k)

Avego, a global provider of software solutions, at the cutting edge of the passenger transport industry, is looking for a brilliant business analyst to join its Professional Services Team based in Dublin.

If you are passionate about delivering exceptional customer value and can communicate at every level, then
maybe we have the position for you! With about 35% of your time spent on customer sites, you will be involved in
both the early and late stages of the software development life cycle.

This is a reasonably technical role, and in-depth technical knowledge would be advantageous, although this is not
a pre-requisite.

The role might also suit a developer seeking a business-facing role.
Essential Requirements:

• 3+ years commercial experience

• Client facing business analysis and consultancy experience

– Experienced in needs analysis, solution creation, solution presentation

– Adept at mapping business and reporting requirements to data extraction, presentation, and
interpretation (excel, Access, etc.)

– Experienced in defining, mapping, and communicating business value to clients and prospects.

• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills

– Able to speak with diverse range of users, executives, and technologists

– Need to be impactful and precise in !"#$% oral and written communications and have excellent proposal and report writing skills; English fluency is a must.

• Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle – experience in structured analysis (UML, Use case
analysis and test planning) techniques

• Experience in software development methodologies (such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum or equivalent)

• Excellent analytic and mathematical skills including experience in building database queries (Access,
MySQL, Excel)

• Technical experience – working knowledge of some or all of Java, Python, JBOSS, Linux, SQL, HTML

• 3rd Level Degree in Computing or Equivalent

• High energy, entrepreneurial personality
Non-Essential Requirements:

• Background in statistical analysis (3rd level degree or equivalent)

• Experience in GPS or location technologies

• Experience in business intelligence technologies (e.g. BIRT, Crystal reports)

• PRINCE certified or equivalent
