Automation Test Engineer
Our Client is well-known and well-established. The role will focus on front-end (GUI) testing of multi-tiered applications, with an emphasis on test automation. They are looking for someone to start in early January for a 4-6 week engagement. Excellent daily rates on offer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify and recommend product set for automation of system testing and functional testing objectives.
• Design and develop automation cases based on software requirements and functional understanding of product architecture.
• Able to develop and apply automated scripts and automated test tools.
• Execute automated test cases and track bugs in defect tracking system.
• Run regression test cases, load test, and system tests for new product releases.
• Create new automated test cases and update existing automated test cases from existing manual tests or from written documentation.
• Integrate product knowledge from testers, developers and product managers into the testing process.
• Assist in reproducing, investigating and debugging software issues in coordination with Support and Development.

Advantageous:
• Work in scripting languages and .Net C# to develop and run automated tests. (Advantageous)

Skills:
• Manual GUI testing experience with Web applications
• Experience with Test Automation tools (Waitin, SOATest, Selenium, etc.)
• Solid experience with Issue tracking systems (TFS, Jira, etc.)
• Experience with Agile software development methodology (advantageous)
• Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
