Our client, a leading medical devices company, is now recruiting for an Applications Integration Team Lead on a permanent basis. The successful candidate must be degree qualified, have strong technical knowledge of SAP and MES systems and have a good understanding of FDA regulations
[b]JOB PURPOSE:[/b]
Reporting to the Production Director, the person will be responsible for leading the Applications team within the Production function. The person will be expected to lead the team in supporting and driving the implementation and integration of the company’s application systems within the Cork site.
[b]KEY RESPONSIBILITIES[/b]
Provide leadership, technical competence and support of SAP and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications.
Lead resolution of customer issues, focusing on permanent resolution, quality and service.
Sustain and continuously improve Service Level Agreements to support the business.
Project management / implementation of new applications, upgrading existing systems & applications to support on-going business needs.
Test all critical systems prior to upgrades or revision changes to prevent production line down.
Support the implementation of SAP and MES on all New Products & Product Transfers.
Central point for communication with internal and external stakeholders, including plant Value Streams and Corporate applications teams
Represent the site on regular Corporate meetings and projects providing technical input and assistance as needed.
Identify and deliver continuous improvement and VIP projects in the application environment.
Ensure compliance with corporate and site quality systems.
Resolve all technical, quality or production related issues related to current applications.
[b]EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS[/b]
Degree in computing or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar technical role, preferably in a large multinational company.
Strong technical knowledge of SAP and Manufacturing systems.
Strong understanding of manufacturing within an FDA regulated environment.
Demonstrated strong communication and problem solving skills.
Customer focused approach.
Ability to lead a team driving a strong team culture of ownership and accountability.
Proven project management skills are essential

Strong organization building skills, and networking abilities.
Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the company Quality policy & the appropriate regulations for the area
Experienced in process and/or systems analysis & design an advantage
Strong business acumen with experience in manufacturing processes and systems.
