Our client is a multinational software house who are renowned for innovative products and dealing with cutting edge technologies. They are a solid company with a market leading brand name who are producing world class products. They are currently recruiting for an Applications Engineer to work in their Belfast office which is a centre of excellence.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of pre sales technical support to the sales teams and the channel team. More specifically this will include;
– to reply to any technical queries from customers and field sales
– to assist with reply to tender documents and sales quotations
– to provide input into new product development process
– to provide feedback on market trends and customer needs
– to propose technical solutions to customer needs including working with third party suppliers
– to assist with any technical demonstrations
The successful applicant must have a degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering and have gained at least a 2:1 classification or above. They must have a technical background and have some prgramming experience. Strong interpersonal skills are a must as is the abililty to liaise with individuals throughout an organisation. Proven experience in a pre sales role would be preferred.
This is an excellent opportunity for a programmer/developer who wants to get into a more client facing role or alternatively an applications support candidate who would like to work for a multinational organisation where career development opportunities are plentiful.
