Application Support Systems Analyst (SQL, VB)

Location: Dublin South

Contract: 250 – 300 per day

Duration: 6 month with the possible view to extend.

(Working Closely with Allen Recruitment Consulting) Our client is looking for an Application Support Systems Analyst to join their team and be able to communicate at all level with various business key stakeholders across their teams within Europe.

Responsibilities:

* Analyse, Design and participate in the delivery of client server IT applications adhering to business requirement definition in the European business environment.
* Provide analysis and support to the off-shore development team and on-shore delivery teams through the full project lifecycle.
* Pro-actively change and maintain the systems/data and Technical architecture
* Participate in overall project plans and work to ensure projects meet agreed delivery dates, are achieved within budget with required levels of quality

Requirements:
* Experience in Systems Analysis in a Client Server Systems environment
* Years of working in a development role using T-SQL (Sybase or SQL Server) and/or Visual Basic (or similar programming languages). Exposure to COBOL an advantage but not essential
* Experience of Finance and Accounting Systems preferable

The successful candidate will be involved in ‘root cause analysis’ of production support problems so you must be to be able to have the ability to interrogate databases and look at code.
