Our Client has an excellent opportunity for an Technical Application Support Manager for an initial 6 month contract, with strong likelihood of extension. You will specifically be responsible for the delivery of IT application support for a key internal application. You will be responsible for the management of a team of internal and offshore vendor resources (C18 people)
The successful candidate will undergo additional training on Pega BPM tool. So this opportunity will suit someone who wishes to advance their skills and earning potential
Responsibilities:
* Manage Internal and off-shore resources to ensure issues are resolved to agreed SLAs.
* Ensure all requests are within the agreed scope of the support service commitment.
* Diagnose IT issues and direct the problem to the right area.
* Task management to include low level planning, estimating, assignment of tasks and facilitation of task completion.
* Effective people management including mentoring of onshore and offshore resources.
* Manage production support releases into production
* Manage the technical handoff points with external development teams.
* Ensure that production support adheres to all related compliance controls and activities.
* Maintenance of technical and operational procedures within production support
* Reduce the cost of support services by identifying tactical and strategic solutions for frequently raised issues.
* Ad hoc Project and Release Delivery Communication – Internal & External.
Requirements
* Coordination/team lead experience in a production support environment.
* Strong technology skills in Java and SQL
* Experience of management of full life-cycle of IT projects or multiple simultaneous small projects.
* Experience of Vendor management in an offshore capacity.
* Proven People Management skills.
* Excellent business skills with demonstrated ability to analyse, evaluate and problem solve.
* Knowledge of Workflow/BPM tool (preferable)
