The Applications Development division operates an Applications Support Desk to offer 2nd and 3rd line support for bespoke applications used by our customers. All of our supported solutions are custom built. Technically, our solutions cover a range of technologies with Java, .NET and Powerbuilder being the predominant development platforms.
Your responsibilities:
We are looking for Application Support Analyst / Developers for our Cork office. With a focus on 2nd and 3rd line support, the required skills set includes development, database and systems analysis skills.
Non-support related development is also part of the brief, with the team being involved at all stages of new development projects and upgrades to existing systems.
We are looking specifically for developers with experience in Java (J2EE), .NET or Powerbuilder, but experience in other development platforms would also be an advantage. Our applications are heavily dependent on the common RDBMS offerings (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server) making fluency in SQL queries particularly important to the role.
Your tasks will include:
Provide technical application support services to our customers for custom applications
Participating in all phases of new and ongoing development projects
Design, Development, Test, Deployment of application upgrades and fixes
Operation of the company’s Remedy IT Service Management System
Generation of reports from Remedy to facilitate task management and monitoring of Service Level Agreements

These permanent positions are based in the National Software Centre in Cork.
