Level 1 Helpdesk Engineer – Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow WANTED … A problem solver, with a passion for friendly, proactive service

If you’re the Level 1 Helpdesk Engineer we’re looking for you’ll be:

 

·      Friendly, approachable and always in good form!

·      Excellent communication skills – oral and written

·      Proactive in keeping customers updated and not afraid to deliver ‘bad news’ when required

·      Quick-thinking, responsive when others are losing their cool, calm and patient

·      A strong multi-tasker able to prioritise and see things through to completion

·      Hard working, keen to provide top class service and delight your customers

·      Well-spoken, well-mannered and well-presented

·      Ideally, educated to degree level in Computer Science or similar

·      Experienced in a Helpdesk role for a minimum of 1 year 

·      Excited about technology, keen to learn and ambitious to develop your career

 

Experience counts, but most of all you’ve got to have passion for the role, embrace responsibility and take pride in all your work.  You will have understanding and experience of:

·      Microsoft suite of products

·      Office 365

·      Google Apps and mail

·      Mobile devices – iOS and Android

·      DNS and MX records

·      Active Directory

·      Windows Server 2003-2012

·      Cloud-based storage products such as Dropbox

·      Deskside printers

·      Broadband routers

·      Firewalls and security including Sonicwall

 

Your role will be initially office-based providing telephone and remote support.  You’re going be the first point of contact with our customers when they have a query, so you’re going to be a problem-solver skilled in managing customer expectations.

Wicklow, we’re looking for a superb Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer to support our rapidly-growing customer base.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will receive ongoing training, mentoring and tutoring to help you progress from customer support to implementation projects.  This role will particularly suit an entrepreneurial-minded person who is extremely motivated, willing and able to contribute quickly to all parts of our business and who is excited by the challenges we face.
