Title: Global Director of Technology – Asset/Funds

As a result of a group re-org and some acquisition activity a fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Head of Technology/Director of Technology with experience working in the Funds/Asset Servicing/Asset Management/Securities OR Private Equity areas.
Customer and internal global executive engagement will also feature heavily and as a result a strong technologist with excellent commercial awareness will be required. The level of customer stakeholders that this person will interact with mean that we are looking for a person with a level of gravitas and influencing abilities.
This role will have a dual remit of fulfilling the role of managing the IT function for two separate business lines – one global, one EMEA. The role will involve managing the delivery of services across project management, business analysis, applications development and support and infrastructure services and the team members are distributed across several global locations.
In addition the group have a large focus on third party vendor applications and services and so managing the relationships and delivery of these parties will also be crucial.
There is significant scope for growth with this position and the opening will suit a pro-active, energetic individual with a desire to take on responsibility and deliver results.

Skills/Experience
Formal third level qualification
Proven experience in a leadership role within relevant financial services business
Experience in Funds, Fund Administration, Real Estate & Private Equity or Securities businesses and related systems and technology.
Proven capability in setting IT strategy
Strong change management experience
Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills
Experience in distributed, complex Matrix organsiations
Strong people management skills
Excellent business acumen
