Multinational organisation engaged in the provision of analytics and data services to the financial sector and enterprise corporations is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in AWS cloud solutions.
We are seeking an expert in AWS to assist the Cloud Engineering team with cloud based infrastructure projects such as migrating the existing Datacentre architecture over to AWS, delivering IaaS / PaaS to support strategic applications and analytics projects. The infrastructure covers Wintel, Linux, VMware, Oracle & SQLserver with aspects of Big Data & multiple Datawarehouses as well as multiple software applications, many developed in-house.
Your role will involve the design & delivery of cloud infrastructure solutions based on AWS, including architecture design, Infrastructure scripting, security configuration and deployment of all AWS services (EC2, EBS, EMR, ELB, S3, etc) and related technologies eg. Redis / noSQL.
To be considered suitable for this contract role, you must have the following:
* Expertise in AWS – Amazon Web Services (including certification ideally)
* Significant experience as an Infrastructure Specialist or Infrastructure Engineer
* A minimum of 2 years AWS cloud engineering experience within the commercial world
* Ideally cloud infrastructure design / architecture skills
* Scripting skills eg. Puppet, Chef, etc essential
* SQL Databases or NoSQL DMS
* Strong all round Infrastructure expertise – Virtualisation, Remote Access, Security, Networking
* Agile or ITIL knowledge ideally
Contract Rate: DOE
Contract Duration: 6 months, extendable
Location: Dublin
