Role & Responsibilities:

* Work with product owners and business analysts to understand and translate non-functional requirements into performance test scenarios
* Work with stakeholders to put together and agree a roadmap of plans for performance testing for the products under test
* Understand the architecture and associated components of the products as well as tuning required to improve performance of the application, operating systems, database and infrastructure components
* Estimate workload accurately and feed into project plans
* Create and maintain a robust, reusable, data driven suite of Load Runner scripts to support benchmark and user scenario testing
* Identify and implement monitoring to facilitate root cause analysis and validate the tuning changes made to address performance issues
* Execute tests, report results and co-ordinate re-testing where tuning changes are required.
* Facilitate process improvement initiatives and efficiencies

Experience & Skills:

* 2-3 years performance testing experience
* Min 1 year experience of HP Load Runner
* Complete understanding of non-functional requirements e.g. performance and operational
* Familiar with best practice and industry standards and willing to propose and adopt such methods to achieve the best quality results
* Experience with system /application profiling and monitoring tools
* Excellent communication and co-ordination skills
* Knowledge of architecture components of systems and how they relate to the performance of applications
* Good problem solving skills and ability to implement future proof solutions to performance issues
* Database experience, including Oracle
* Exposure to Agile development methodologies

Nice to have: Cloud based performance testing experience. Tomcat, Websphere , Weblogic

Education: 3rd Level qualification in software development or equivalent
