Security Engineer – Cork
My client based in Cork has a requirement for a security engineer on a contract basis. The role will utilise your strong security knowledge as well as system engineering skills to help drive their security strategy and implement security measures.

Role
* Assist other team in assessing risks of systems, infrastructure, applications and data
* Help teams follow security best practices and implement security checks in deployment pipelines
* Drive the security strategy in relation to network security, intrusion protection and cloud security
* Address new risk and threats through internal and external pen tests and respond to threats or incidents
Requirements
* 3+ years experience in an InfoSec or systems engineering role
* Strong Linux background
* Experience with network security technologies and security systems such as firewalls, antivirus and log management
* Strong understand of the latest security principles
* Experience with AWS tools and containers
