Senior Java/J2EE Developer’s

We are currently looking to recruit a number of senior Java J2EE developers for contract positions in Limerick.

These roles are for a Senior Java/J2EE Developers working on the design and implementation of feature enhancements to one of their customers e-learning platforms. The existing application is a Struts based web application utilising JSPs, Servlets and EJBs with an Oracle back end database. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating design specifications, for the assigned enhancements and then implementing the solution..
Skills

At least 5 years Java J2EE development.
Enterprise Level N-tier solution design and development experience.
UML usage experience.
Ability to realize Detailed Design into software.
Experience with the following technologies and frameworks Spring, Hibernate, JAX-WS, JAX-RS.
Use of development support tools such as CVS, SVN, Hudson, Maven, Ant & JUnit
Experience with Transaction Management, Connection Pooling & Security Implementations.
Use of WebSphere, JBoss, Apache.
Experience in SQL query design on Oracle 10G
Understanding of performance issues in multi tier design

Additional Skills
Strong interest in Development technologies and techniques.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Flex, XSD & XSL.
Understanding of the Software Development Methodology & experience of the full development lifecycle.
Experience of OO design methodologies & Design Pattern Implementation
Experience of Development on a Solaris Environment.
Some team lead experience an advantage
