Title: Software Team Manager

Duties
– Manage a team of high-performing, talented and startup-motivated individuals;

– Manage recruitment to your team;

– Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development to members of your team;

– Scale your team by capitalizing on opportunities for increased effectiveness and efficiency, driving key automation and productivity initiatives;

– Help drive constant improvement and iteration;

– Develop metrics to measure the performance of the department provide insights and reports;

– Execute projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research, and strategy development ;

– Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritise all development deliverables and development resources working across project(s) based on scope of work and project goals.

– Work together with team leads to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate specifications, direction, and resources to deliver work effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.

– Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance

– Helping developers resolve problems both technical as well as HR issues, tracking and approving holidays for the team and monitoring individual’s performance and working closely with the CTO on team and individual targets.

Education & Experience

– Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment;

– Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally;

– Excellent communication skills;

– Resourceful, detail-oriented, and highly organized

– Creative problem-solving abilities;

– Minimum of 8 years of substantial technology experience in a services/web company with a minimum of 4 being in a team/project management role.

– BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline

– Proficiency in the use of project management tools and Microsoft Office products.

– Experience managing teams to deliver software implementations
