Senior C# .NET/WPF Developer

This full-time position will be based in Ballymount, Dublin 24.

Asgard Software is looking for an experienced .NET / WPF developer for immediate deployment to work with a team of developers on a new product. The product is three years in development and is live on a customer site. The requirement is to build and extend on the Framework we have developed and extend its capabilities into other niche markets as part of a small highly motivated team.

The individual selected will play a leading role in the development of a new generation of an already successful software product using state of the art technologies; NET 3.5, Visual Studio 2008, C#, LINQ, WPF, WCF and SQL Server 2005.

A proven track record developing .NET Client Server or Smart Client WPF based applications is essential. Knowledge of Domain Modelling techniques and agile development methods will be desirable.

The willingness and desire to be customer facing will assist the candidate’s suitability so excellent English both oral and written will be essential.
Responsibilities:

Develop both Client and Web Services components to implement business functionality identified by customers. Ensure rapid development of bug free code through the use of agile techniques. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem solving skills, ability to work autonomously once functional requirements are defined and proven experience developing using the WPF framework.

Qualifications:

Computer Science Degree or equivalent. MS Certification desirable.
3+ years experience of C# and .NET (including .NET 3.5 / C# 3.0)
Experience of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) required..
SQL Server 2005 or later with experience coding SQL queries and scripts.
Experience of LINQ data access highly desirable.
Experience in DevExpress and Xceed Controls / Reporting.
Experience of Web Services (WCF) desirable also.
Valid EU work authorisation, fluency in English and good communications skills essential. Team work and disciplined approach to developing code required.
