Test Analyst – Life 400

The ideal candidate will have a strong business background and a GOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THE LIFE PLATFORM AND LIFE INSURANCE.

OVERVIEW
Designing and writing test scripts
QA/test releases to ensure stability & integrity of the production system
New products testing & implementation
Responsibility for testing change controls, system enhancements & error fixes
Analysis and reporting of errors and issues raised as part of testing
Documenting test output and change control items
Provision of test support to business users & assisting in solving delivery issues
Work closely with business analysts to ensure alignment between testing and business requirements
Provides test analysis expertise to assigned projects
Responsible for signs off test stream and supporting the release to production;
Provide advice & guidance to the business in use of the production system.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
TECHNICAL
Expert in all aspects of testing, planning, execution, interpreting results and documenting finding
Ability to liaise with technical and business analysts when analysing errors
Ability to undertake impact analysis of identified errors
Ability to co-ordinate error resolution;
2/3 years of test related experience
Relevant IT/Computing qualification, preferably with ISEB Testing Foundation / Practitioner accreditation
Knowledge of Testing tools and best practice

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Knowledge of Life & Pensions business practices and products together with a strong awareness of current Insurance market practice

Able to build and maintain professional working relationships across all levels
Projects may arise from time to time that require business travel.
