BUSINESS ANALYST – ONLINE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

A multinational technology company requires an experienced BUSINUESS ANALYST to liaise between the business and online software development teams.
Experience in online projects and working with offshore development teams is highly desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Work with business and technical teams, in Dublin and off-shore, to analyze the requirements for multiple projects in order to identify areas of functional and technical commonality and to ensure that a consistent approach is undertaken for all projects.
• Create business deliverables such as Process Maps, Business Requirements, Functional Requirements (including Use cases) documentation and user acceptance tests
• Work with business and technical teams to support the development of Technical Requirements
• Facilitate workshops (typically tel/web conference) with business stakeholders to develop requirements
• Develop process and data mapping for systems
• Act as key liaison between business and technical teams, including building and managing relationships with business functions
• Work closely with business, engineering, project management and quality assurance teams in the overall delivery of solutions
• Advise on approaches to satisfying a business requirement.
• Apply problem solving techniques and product capability knowledge.
• Prepare and deliver presentations.
• Lead and mentor other business analyst team members
• Support change requirements through accurate impact analysis and change specifications
• Drive quality through adherence to and supporting project management processes and procedures, including the maintenance of documentation on shared file systems
• Provide support to business owners and project managers to help drive business initiatives
• Contribute to improvements to Business Analysis documentation and methodologies.

Skills & Experience
Essential
• 7-8 years in a similar BA role
• Experience in high level analysis of multiple simultaneous projects
• Experience in leading business requirement definition projects for large enterprise–wide software applications.
• Experience in scoping projects and identifying commonality/dependencies between projects
• Experience across the entire systems development lifecycle
• Experience in business process modelling and use case analysis
• Excellent workshop/interview facilitations skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to articulate complex processes and concepts to non-experts
• Ability to clearly and concisely gather, interpret, analyse and document information
• Proven experience in analytical, research and problem-solving techniques
• Ability to establish creative solutions to meet requirements
• Experience in managing tight deadlines, coordinating activities, managing and escalating risks and issues
• Experience of working in and leading teams (including virtual teams)
• Must be a self starter, highly driven and willingness to make decisions as appropriate.
Desirable
• Project management experience
• Experience of working in an agile development environment
• Strong understanding of current software development technologies and methodologies
