Senior Systems Analyst Contract

The Client
My client is an established leading provider in the global financial services sector. They currently have requirements for experienced Systems Analyst on a 6 month contract basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on interesting and diverse projects, while working with the latest technologies.
Role Responsibilities:
• Definition of requirements (functional, non-functional, usability)
• Project Framework, Specifications, Work Package Planning, Testing
• Translating business needs into technical design for development team
• Participate in team status reporting/meetings as required.
• Contribute to issue resolution processes throughout the project
• Contribute to Project Planning process (work breakdown, work package planning, estimating)

Essential Skills and Experience:
• 5years Systems Analysis experience.
• Experience with UML – (use-cases, activity diagrams, class diagrams)
• Ability to analyze situations and make solid decisions, using good judgment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally & written and in formal presentations
• Knowledge/experience within Financial Services environment

Advantageous Skills:
Experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:
• Portal technology
• Java/J2EE environments
• Security knowledge
• Disaster Recovery
• Internet environment
