BUSINESS ANALYST – ONLINE BANKING – CONTRACT
Role:
■ Perform senior business analyst and related project tasks on an infrastructure and software upgrade for a core banking system.
■ Generation of functional and technical specifications for all product and processes impacted by the infrastructure and software upgrade.
■ Coordinating Business/Vendor and technical requirements to support the generation of these specifications
■ Regular reporting to Project Manager
■ Assist with testing as required
Responsibilities:
■ Development of functional and technical specifications as required in relation to software amendments pertaining to the project within the business, within agreed timeframes.
■ Liaise with business representatives and software vendors to agree the content of the specification and to develop an understanding of key business processes and related technical requirements.
Experience:

■ 5 years plus experience in a business analyst role.
■ Demonstrated experience in business analysis and systems related work within Banking or Finance (preferably in support of savings and investment products) in an on line environment.
■ Experience writing high quality, detailed business specifications and structured analysis (use case definition)
■ Sound understanding of transactional systems, accounting principles and payment systems.
■ Experienced liaising directly with business people, running workshops and interactive sessions to support the business needs
■ Experience in working in team environment and to tight deadlines.
■ Illustrates initiative and proactive behaviour, a self motivated individual who works well independently.
■ Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
■ Clear written and verbal skills (fluent in written and spoken English)
■ Willingness to travel to Netherlands and Belgium on a regular basis or potentially to be based there for part of the project on an ongoing basis
Additional optional criteria to be met (preferred but not essential)
■ Previous experience with the Thaler/Kyudo core banking product
■ Reverse-engineering experience
■ Experience customising/localising a standard software package
■ Testing experience
■ Experience in retail banking in Ireland
