Junior Test Engineer
Negotiable
We are currently looking to recruit a Junior Test Engineer for our client based in Monaghan. The company is part of a large global organisation with 10,000 employees in seventeen countries.
They develop their software from 4 main bases, Monaghan, Bristol (UK), Shelton (USA) and Melbourne (Australia). Their customer base includes many of the leading Fortune 500 companies and due to expansion they are now looking for a Junior Test Engineer to join their ever growing team.
Responsibilities
• Reviewing functional specifications and design documents
• Capture and transform requirements into test specifications
• Test newly developed software, existing software upgrades and deployments to ensure quality is maintained
• Identifying, recording and resolving defects within the specified timescale of the project
• Reporting on results of test execution to management
Requirements
• 1-2 years experience in software testing
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Motivated, enthusiastic, team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience and Qualifications
• A third level qualification in a systems or business related discipline is desirable
• Exposure to test tools
• Automation experience would be an advantage
• ISEB qualification
