Required Technical Skills:
* Expert C coding and debugging in an agile environment
* Experience with low-power, real-time systems
* Development of high-availability products using 8 or 16-bit microcontrollers
Desired Technical Skills:
* Experience with various microcontrollers e.g. 8051, MSP430, 68HCS12
* Experience with various tool-chains e.g. Keil, gcc, CodeWarrior
* Knowledge of wireless protocols e.g. GSM/GPRS/GPS
* Knowledge of automotive protocols e.g. CAN, SAE J1939
* Experience with software development processes & source control tools
* Ability to use test equipment for debug and board bring-up
Job Responsibilities:
* Translate customer requirements into technical specifications
* Optimise software architecture and tool-chain
* Implement C code & debug on target platform
* Test & verification
* Liaise with customer support and field sales
* Provide technical support for developed products
