Strategy Consultant – Network IP

STRATEGY / IP TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT – GSM
This opportunity is with a global company who has broken all records in delivering products to new markets through innovative partner networks. They are a brand associated with exceptional customer service, hi-tech consumer products, and community engagement and employee development.
We now require an experienced Technology Consultant with 8yrs experience, to join a team of experienced technologists, providing thought leadership in all areas of technology adoption. This role will focus on the adoption of IP into the Network to enable the growth of IP / ICT propositions.
To get this job, you will have the following competencies:

Degree or higher in a technical or business related discipline.

• At least 8 years experience in Technology environment, in technology architecture and/or technology consulting.
• Should be CCIE certified, with experience in the field of IP enablement in a telecoms network.
• Experience in design and implementation of complex networks supporting technologies such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, load balancing, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience with multisite routing and peering from an architectural and business continuity perspective.
• Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships at all levels within the business
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to articulate complex technologies in terms of business capability
• Excellent analytical skills, approaching problems logically and creatively, bringing a risk-based pragmatism to problem solving.
• Excellent background in IT standards and methodologies with experience of designing in a SOA environment.
• Knowledge of best practice in Architecture Principals, Solution Modeling, Service Design, System Integration.

On successful hire you will:
• Assume responsibility for the definition of Architecture Vision and Target Architecture.
• Translate this vision into a target architecture covering all Applications, Information and Systems in your domain.
• Plan for the realisation of relevant Target Architecture, captured in a Technology Roadmap. This roadmap constitutes the real-world delivery of the technology changes in accordance with available budget and supporting projects.
• Responsible for Solution Architecture and acts as the most senior designer for any programmes impacting the domain, including defining the high-level solution architecture and the project governance to ensure it is achieved.
• Assume responsibility for producing the underlying Network IP solutions for these opportunities, to establish their sourcing and costing, and to establish the parties for their implementation and operation.
• Ensure that best practice is followed and the target architecture is adhered to through governance and oversight of any technology within the domain.
