In an exciting period of rapid growth we are now looking for a Firewall Administrator (CCSA/CCSE)

Job Purpose

Responsibilities for the Firewall administrator involve working with various Security technologies, routing skills, unix and linux skills. The successful candidate will assist the team in building, configuration, and installation of Security technology devices.

The successful candidate will work with an implementation team, situated across various regions and therefore this person must be used to working as part of a geographically disperse team.

Key skills that are needed to fulfil this role include:

• In-depth working knowledge on high end Firewall installations, configurations and administration of Checkpoint firewalls, VPN’s and the management tools.
• In-depth working knowledge on Proxy technologies like Bluecoat and Sidewinder.
• In-depth working knowledge on routing (RIP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP, Multicast).
• Should have the capability for understanding and troubleshoot complex installations.
• Understand and implement complex security policies.
• Should follow and implement within the guidelines set by the team for the migration.

Key Accountabilities

New Data Center, Facility Builds and Migration
• Contribute to the building and migration of all areas of the Security Implementation role.
• Work with the build team and migration teams.
• Deploy, maintain and migrate the security devices
• Provide support and related troubleshooting of the security devices.
• Use of different tools and process to deploy the security devices.
• Generate and maintain related documentation and Network diagrams.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• In depth knowledge of Checkpoint Firewalls and Bluecoat Proxy technologies.
• Experience in implementation of Checkpoint Firewalls and VPN’s, Bluecoat Proxies on Data centre class devices.
• Has to be certified on Checkpoint firewalls – Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator and/or Checkpoint Certified Security Engineer
• Must have good working skills in UNIX and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of TCPIP and routing protocols a must.
• Must have good troubleshooting skills in areas of Firewall, VPN’s, Proxies and Networks.

Desirable:

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with arcsight experience.

• Working experience on Juniper (Netscreen) firewalls
• Experience on SSL VPN deployments
• Bluecoat proxy certifications
• Experience on Netscreen technology a plus
